Ellis Eye's San Francisco area LASIK eye surgery center announces the opening of its newest office in Mill Valley, California, making consultations and pre-op/post-op evaluations for LASIK eye procedure in CA easily accessible to residents of Marin County. The Mill Valley office will mark the sixth office maintained by preeminent laser eye surgeon, Dr. William Ellis, and will retain cutting edge technology. The Mill Valley office will join the Walnut Creek and San Francisco offices as the newest location at which patients can receive one-on-one consultations about LASIK procedures, as well as preoperative and postoperative care, making these services more accessible to Marin County residents. As always, Dr William Boothe will continue to perform all LASIK procedures as well as pre-op and post-op evaluations from his state-of-the-art El Cerrito, Roseville, and San Jose offices. Dr. Boothe' skill in laser eye surgery is based upon a solid medical and technical background. After receiving a baccalaureate degree in electrical engineering from UC Berkeley, Dr. Ellis continued his education with a medical degree from Washington University in St. Louis. This led him to Stanford University for his surgical residency in ophthalmology. This sound education provides him with the knowledge and expertise necessary to perform delicate laser vision correction procedures successfully.

Always on the forefront of LASIK technology, Ellis Eye's medical centers are the first in Northern California to possess the Bausch and Lomb Technolas Zyoptix laser for wavefront ablation at 100 Hertz. The FDA recently approved the new laser for public use, and the studies indicate that the 100 Hertz laser gives significantly better outcomes than its predecessor, the 50 Hertz laser.
